Nichiyu introduces Japan's first electric forklift truck, delivering two units to Nippon Steel (formerly Yahata Ironworks).

Nichiyu's head office is relocated to Kyoto.

Nichiyu develops the "Platter," Japan's first electric reach forklift truck, for cargo transfer between freight car and platform.
1961
Nichiyu is listed on the Kyoto Stock Exchange and the second sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
